45th Parallel Press, a New Imprint of Cherry Lake Publishing
Cherry Lake Publishing is happy to introduce our new imprint, 45th Parallel Press. 45th Parallel Press is devoted to bringing exciting, engaging content to students who are reading below grade level. These series have been specifically developed to get children excited about reading, with kid-friendly topics, interesting photos, and cool facts. While Cherry Lake Publishing is known for creating series that focus on 21st Century Skills, 45th Parallel Press recognizes that many students may need an additional boost before tackling heavier curriculum.
The titles we’ve included in 45th Parallel Press boast:

The imprint launches this July with three new series:
Best Quiz Ever! with eight titles, including What Kind of Spender Are You?, What’s Your Dream Job?, and What Kind of Sports Pro Are You?
Nailed It! with eight titles, including Extreme Base Jumping, Extreme Rock Climbing, and Extreme BMX Freestyle.
Odd Jobs with eight titles, including Ethical Hacker, Mortician, and Tattoo Artist.
The name 45th Parallel Press refers to the line of latitude that runs halfway between the North Pole and the equator, with half of North America falling above that line and the other half falling below it. Similarly, this reflects our understanding that there are readers below grade level as well as at and above it. But with 45th Parallel Press, we celebrate all readers and seek to foster a love of reading regardless of level. The titles we’ve chosen are sure to encourage a passion for reading in those who may be struggling. As an added bonus, we’re a Michigan-based company and the 45th parallel runs directly through our favorite part of the Mitten State!
