Before the LBF even officially began, the UK Publisher’s Association was capitalizing on the event, using the global stage to call on politicians to see the industry’s value.

The eve of the London Book Fair, the UK's Publishers Association unveiled research showing that the country's publishing sector contributes £11 billion to the economy, with potential for further growth to the tune of £5.6 billion and 43,000 jobs by 2033 with proper government support. 

International demand for UK publishing is expected to increase by 20% in the next decade, highlighting its global appeal.
