Can you talk about your career in librarianship and how you joined Collection Development at Ingram?
I started working in a public library right after college. It only took a few months for me to realize that librarianship was my future. I was a Reference librarian for a few years before joining Ingram last summer to further pursue my love of collection development.
What's the most unusual or amusing book title you've come across in your time as a librarian?
There are so many creative book titles out there. I recall finding a nonfiction book on the library shelf once called Best Things to Scream Into. It was 2020 as well, so it felt relevant.
Is there something you’d like customers to know about Collection Development and our services?
The Collection Development team is made up of experienced librarians who know what it’s like and who genuinely want to help librarians and improve collections. iCurate services like inClusive (collection diversity audits) and Core (collection gap analysis) help with the common goal of all librarians—information access and serving communities.
